While you may have many lovely things, not all of them are marketable. Times have changed and what was popular years ago, may now considered “stuff” that lacks function in today’s way of life. We can tell you what’s hot and what’s not. This is the key to profitable sales for you and finding new homes for your things.

Items most likely to sell:
  • Smaller furniture – tables, chairs, dressers – New, vintage, antique
  • Beds (no mattresses) – Queen size bedframes are the most desired
  • Bedside tables and end tables
  • Recliners, sofas, loveseats, sectionals
  • Rugs
  • Small cupboards
  • Vintage linens in good condition
  • Games
  • Tools in good working condition
  • Sterling silver and costume jewelry (even if it’s broken)
  • Record albums – especially music from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. Classical is unpopular.
  • Donations
  • Large book collections, post cards, maps, early advertising and signs
Things less likely to sell:
  • China and crystal. If they can’t be put in the dishwasher or microwave, they most likely will not sell.
  • Entertainment centers
  • Hutches and china cabinets
  • Depression glass, carnival glass, milk glass
  • Figurines
  • Artwork
  • Dolls, doll furniture, doll houses
  • Used electronics
  • Exercise equipment
  • Clothing
  • Vintage sewing machines
  • Computer tables
  • Rocking Chairs

Of course, there are exceptions to everything. That’s why an onsite visit can be informative and profitable. It can also save you time, energy and unnecessary stress. Once we help you with your plan, we think we can turn this into a fun process.
